一直覺得她比我小 因為看起來超年輕, 但其實大我兩歲~

just finished my last beginning korean class on tuesday! after the class ended, i finally had the courage to ask my korean instructor (나원경) for her facebook & kakao talk account!! (kakao talk is a korean chatting app like whatsapp/line) (it really took me a while to stir up the boldness hahaha i'm really not good at approaching people... *shy*) anyways, i got her account and we started to chat here and there using my poor korean mix with english lol.
my korean instructor is a very cute korean girl! i've always thought she's younger than me, but turn out she's actually 2 years older~ it's kind of sad that she's not teaching the next level class.. she has that great sense of humor & genuineness which helped me a lot to relax and focus more during the class. definitely one of the best teacher i've ever met! she encouraged me to continue the next level (basic b) even though she's not the instructor... so yea, after 3 weeks of break, i'll start my basic b korean class! hehe -v-
i really hope me and 원경언니 could become friends..haha (i really need some korean friends T^T like the ones i actually get to meet in person and have conversation with.....)

前幾天煮了一鍋雞肉, 個人還蠻滿意的 :)
(我是完全不覺得, 只要照manual上的instructions用 不應該會有問題)
而且有很多preset menu, 只要按一個鈕就搞定
來看看這個燉雞怎麼做吧! 簡單到我都不好意思 lol
alright, enough talk of korean... let's get started with the recipe! lol
i've been eating random stuff for the past month while mr. liao is away... you know, you get to be super spontaneous when you are eating alone. i could eat whatever junk food i want without worry about feeding mr. liao healthy food and make him feel satisfied & happy...that sort of thing. and besides junk food (like boba milk tea w/ popcorn chicken, bag of chips, kimchi (?)...etc), one-pot meal becomes my best friend. and what's the fastest tool to make one-pot meal? ---> a pressure cooker!
i've always loved pressure cooker, it makes awesome beef noodle soup! i love it because it reduces more than half of the cooking time, which is perfect for working-housewife like me! (yes i need those extra hour to feed/play with my cats, to maintain hernameisshin, to do laundry, to study korean, to work on design projects, and to watch k-drama! lol)
i made this one-pot chicken few days ago and i like it alot! it could feed me for at least 3 days straight....hahaha time-saving to the max! but this time i'm using an electrical pressure cooker, not the traditional one i've used before. some people think traditional pressure cooker is dangerous due to it might explode or something if misuse (i don't think so though, as long as you follow the instruction manual, you'll be fine). but the electrical one is indeed lot more safer to use, cause it won't even start cooking if you did something wrong along the steps! plus it has so many preset menus, all i need to do is press a button then walk away enjoying my k-drama ~♥
let's see how to make this super easy one-pot chicken meal!
油漬番茄 sun dried tomato
大塊雞肉 (我用thigh) x8
太白粉+水 勾芡用 (可省略)
- 內鍋放入油漬番茄和所有調味料, 攪拌均勻
- 放入雞肉, 確定醬料有蓋到所有肉
- 按下preset menu的 poultry (也可以自己設定時間)
- 然後壓力鍋會開始升壓, 等壓力夠之後timer就開始倒數
- 時間到會嗶嗶叫, 然後自動轉到保溫
- 我不需要保溫, 我馬上要吃! 所以把蓋子上的紓壓栓調到exhaust
- 確定壓力都散光之後就可以按cancel, 開蓋! (release pressure的時候記得不要靠近噴出來的煙, 免得燙傷)

sun dried tomatoes
8 skinless chicken thighs
1/2 cup honey
5 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
shichimi (to add a little spiciness)
corn starch + water to thicken the sauce
(could be omitted)
- place all the ingredients except chicken into the inner pot, mixed well.
- put in the chicken thighs, make sure they are fully soaked in the liquid.
- put the inner pot into pressure cooker, lock lid.
- press "poultry" button. (you can set your own time as well, depending on the amount of food)
- the pressure cooker will start cooking after proper pressure is achieved, timer will begin to countdown.
- it will beep and switch to keep warm automatically after cooking is completed.
- i want to eat it now! no need to keep it warm~ so i move the pressure limiting valve to the “exhaust” position to release pressure.
- after pressure is released completely, open the lid carefully, press "cancel".
- you can add corn starch water to thicken the sauce if you want.
- remove food and enjoy!
第一次用電子壓力鍋, 用之前有點小緊張, 畢竟我這種藝術家對電子類的東西有點沒大腦.... 但turn out它真的很好操作, 而且可以定時, 不像傳統的還要自己看手機/設鬧鐘 lol
preset menu也很方便~ 煮出來的效果不差
it's my first time cooking with an electrical pressure cooker, was a little nervous before using it coz such artist like me is not geeky enough to easily managed electrical stuff...lol, but turn out it was actually pretty easy to operate! and i loved the timer! that way i don't have to keep looking at my watch (aka cell phone) or set an alarm~ the preset menu is a plus too, just one button and it's good to go.
the chicken thigh was cooked to perfect. very juicy and flavorful! i can taste the sun dried tomato flavor in the chicken. the extra soup is great with rice! that tomato-honey-sweetness.... just plain delicious.
i served it with rice & boiled veggies, you can do pasta too. but remember don't cook meat & veggie in the same pot at the same time, because meat takes longer time to cook, once the meat is cooked, your veggie is already mushy. (same thing applies to regular pot cooking).
